Sec 1 Service Learning Project

Hi all Sec 1 cadets,

Please note that your compulsory service learning project to the Zoo will be on the first day of the holidays, Mon 01st Sep 2008.

The trip will be from 8am to 5.45pm. All of you will assemble at school (in front of General Office) at 8am and a bus will fetch you to the zoo. The bus will then bring you back to school by 5.45pm.

This project is compulsory and all Sec 1s have to complete it as part of the Community Involvement Program (CIP). I will issue out the letter and consent forms to your parents this coming Monday.

You will be visiting the zoo twice, one on the 01st Sep 2008 and another time at a later date. You will have to pay only $10 for the two trips. This is because I've managed to secure student's rate for all of you. If not, the total cost would have been more than $30 for the 2 trips.

For all Muslim cadets, this will be the first day of the Ramadhan month. Please alert your parents that the program will not be too tiring because there will be lecture in the aircon room and only a little bit of walking around the zoo. Please assure your parents that I will also be fasting and hence, I will be taking care of the welfare of the Muslim students. The bus will reach Greendale Secondary School by 5.45pm, to give you more than enough time to reach home to break your fast!
