Third Day To OEV Malaysia 2009

Woke up and had our breakfast in the hotel. Went back to change into our Full Uniform and fall in at 6.30. Had short briefing, and then we head to the first stop of the day.

It is the Royal Malaysia Police Training Centre Of Kuala Lumpur. We had a power point slide presentation from the Training Centre, and we sure have learnt many things, for example, how their training carries about, how they promote their cadets, the role and functions of the Royal Malaysia Police Training Centre, etc.

Just to share with you, the Pulapol’s logo included a book, this actually represents ever learning. The officers there believed that by joining into this training centre, you can learn many things from here, they also wanted their cadets to learn from their heart, and learn automatically, as in, not when someone force you to learn, then you learn.

One part of the presentation that interests me is one of the facilities that they have which is a Child Care Centre. From what the presenter say, I was told that this child care centre is to take care of their cadet’s children. So from here, we can infer that there are some cadets over there are already married. I guess this is what we say one is never too old to learrn.

Ha ha, anyway, back to the topic, after that our Cadets Inspectors presented the same presentation about the NPCC Structure of Singapore. We heard it thrice, but still, it was quite an enriching talk, as I think we can gain new insights by restudying old materials.

Next, we went to their soccer field to see some live demonstration. First demo is the Self Defense Demonstration, from pictures 202 to 223. It was some sort of martial arts, some simple skills to defend themselves when fighting against crooks.

Then, we also have another kind of demonstration. This demonstration is still regarding about defense on crooks, but is slightly different as this one uses weapons.

Next up, we have a Demonstration by the K9 unit, from pictures 224 to 234. It was sure a fun and cool demonstration. Some dogs were mischievous, but on the whole, the dogs are smart and the performance by them is very nice and interesting.

Then, we had our refreshment at the Sports Complex, it was curry puffs, some Malay cakes and I think grape juice, hah! Kush, no Teh Su Su for you uh… :p

After that, we exchanged souvenir, they gave us a towel, a cap, and a water bottle. And we gave them the 50 anniversary blue tee shirt, and a lot of things, but all wrapped. I don’t know what is inside, only the blue tee shirt is wrapped with a transparent plastic bag.

Anyway, then Mr. Singh sign on the visitor book. And we left the place and head to the next destination.

Our next destination is a NPCC Police Museum. That place is where we put all the useful information that we learn from there to our big brain, it was an enriching visit there. I really learnt a lot from there, for example we learnt why the uniform changed from brown to blue, and we learnt the history of NPCC. We also learnt what are some of the weapons used at that time. We learnt the changes of NPCC logo, and learnt the different vehicles used at that time. It was sure fun, interesting, and very enriching! At there, you can see a lot of different weapons, uniform, vehicles, badges, awards, flag, logos, instruments of the NPCC band and many more things that you do not normally see. There are many photos, (photos from picture 241 to 428) have fun looking through them.

Anyway, let me just bring you to picture 361, what do you see? Ha ha, look at picture 362 for an enlarged one, and you will be wondering had Mr Syed worked as a cadet in Malaysia before.

Then, we went back to the hotel to change before we have our lunch, went to have Thailand food.

Then, went to shopping again, contributing to Malaysia’s economy … weez…. But this time round, the shopping centre and it is much more bigger! Kush went to see movie, while me and Joanne went to have a tour around the place.

Then, went to have Indonesian food at night directly after shopping. Had chendol for our dessert! Then, went back to the hotel, had debrief in the lounge.

Lights out and we went to sleep….

P.S: If you are thinking that we were wearing our full uniform everyday, you are right, but it is only for the first 4 days. Then if you are thinking that our uniform is dirty, then you are wrong. We have to iron our shirt and skirt/pants everyday. Not necessary everyday, but there is still a need.
