H-O-N-G-K-O-N-G !

Well , well , well . After YongTeck's post about OBS , it's my turn now.
I went Hongkong and Macau. Well its less strict than OBS , but rules still
apply though . Day 1 , Right after we stepped out of HongKong airport , we
went to have our first ever dinner together with the rest of my 'tourmates' ?
After that we went to have a little tour at the Avenue of Stars . Debrief at the
hotel conference room and nothing much happen on day 1 .

Day 2 .  We went to meet hongkong 's ''NPCC' . They called it the Junior Police
Call(JPC) . And its way too different from US . You may think that they are like us , but
you are WRONG . They are adults and they dont promote as easily as us , and it
is not a CCA . We also visited the Police Academy . YES , the place where they filmed
the drama " Police Academy " . They have training facility that is very similar to the real world !
Well , i wonder if Singapore 's police also undergo those kind of training too ?

Day 3 .  We visited Hongkong's Police Dog Unit . They treat dogs just like their owns .
They have dentist rooms and operation theatre just for dogs ! The dogs are also very obedient
they listen to their trainers . Now the different between HK's Dog unit with SG 's Dog unit ?
HK's Dog unit have airconditioned room for the dogs ! COOL~ After that we visited the Marine
Port and We even had a chance to take a ride on the Police Ship to Chueng Chau island where
the Junior Police Call HQ was located . Well HTA was better , i think . They were all very friendly and
every took us for a short tour around the island.  They were very different from us .Rather than saying that
the JPC was like a cca , its more of a part time job ? And of course , its not that strict like us , WHY ?
Because they are adults and they know how to behave ? MAYBE . Day 4 , was shopping day . Nothing
much but i was not able to buy anything for myself  T.T

Day 5 . We were leaving Hongkong for Macau and i dont like it . WHY ? Because i got to say "BYEBYE"
to hotel and "HELLO" to campsite ): The first thing we do when we reach Macau was touring ?  Then We visited Macau's "NPCC" They called it the Flying Eagles . NOW , they are more like us . there are cadets as young as 10 and cadets about the same age as us . We were invited to their anniversary celebration but it was a formal one . they did fancy drill performance just like us . But i was proud to say , we were better than them as in discipline. Is not that they are not , but maybe they are excited about us visiting them ? We went to their campsite . It's much more different than Pulau Ubin . They've got beds ! :) But their showering cubicles got no door only curtain . Didn't manage to get any photos because my camera run out of batteries ):

Day 6.  We played "amazing race" with the flying eagles and had barberque for dinner. I've found out something new about flying eagles . Before they become real cadets , they need to go through a training camp that can be as long as 14days !! I cannot even imagine what it will be like being stuck in they campsite for that long . Also , They do not have weekly training like us ! Their drills are also different from us . They swing their hands when they march on the spot . Well , because they are trainees , we can't compare our standard with theirs. Everyone was enjoying our last night together with mixed feelings : Happy that we're going back :) , Sad that we're parting ):

Day 7 .  Did some running and played basketball in the morning and team-building games among ourselves .
Had lunch and TO THE AIRPORT !

In conclusion ...
Through this experience , i felt that its a good thing being able to check out other's country "NPCC" . We are
also able to exchange our "cultures" of our CCA with them . After looking at the Flying Eagles and Junior Police Call , i find that although we may look different ,  we still have things in common . Of course our standards are better because we have high expectations and we are able to practice weekly . Although i am in NPCC for 3years (soon going 4 ? ) through this trip i have like NPCC more because i am proud to say that we are better ! : D Anyway , hope my write up have raise interest of all the other cadets in NPCC and like your cca MORE !

THANKYOU.

Zhixin
